The Cade Prize for Inventivity—named after Dr. Robert Cade, lead inventor of Gatorade—celebrates inventors and entrepreneurs, who, through innovation/invention, demonstrate a creative approach to addressing problems in their field. Judges (notable investors, government officials, leaders in academia, and pioneering business executives) assess Prize applications on the basis of Creativity, Impact, and Potential; Breadth and Depth of Impact; Likelihood of Success; Market; and IP Protection. Judging occurs in rounds through the announcement of finalists on August 20, with an Award Ceremony held at the Cade Museum for Creativity & Invention in Gainesville, FL (home of the Florida Gators!) on October 8.
